Woodland Strawberries are native to the U.S. so are considered native plants. These seeds are purchased from Europe. Woodland strawberries are widely distributed around the world. They can be propagated vegetatively (by rooting runners) or through open pollination and are NOT GMO. These plants produce a single crop in the spring. They can be grown in hanging baskets, in a shady garden or other containers.

This is the true wild woodland strawberry. It does best in shade or partial shade and produces lots of runners. It will fill an area with delightful vigorous strawberry plants in short order. Even young seedlings begin producing runners when small. The fruit is very small but extremely aromatic and full of that wild flavor.
