4" x 4" Jiffy Grow block. Like many Jiffy products, hydrate and grow. We have found that these grow blocks are very versatile when growing all types of strawberries. We use them to root hybrid strawberry runners. Simply hydrate the blocks and pin a runner down with a hairpin and keep it moist.

We also are using these blocks to grow what we call a strawberry clump. This consists of either sowing multiple seeds on the surface or transplanting newly germinated seedlings. The result is a multi plant giant "plug" or clump that will produce a much higher fruit yield the first year than a single plant plug.
