'Golden Dessert' is a golden yellow fruiting cultivar that we originally purchased from Estonia a number of years ago. We grew it long enough to know that we wanted to add it to our collection.

Plant Growth Habits

• Mounded, Non-Runnering Habit: The plants form dense, upright clumps without sending out runners, typical of true alpine cultivars (Fragaria vesca f. alba).

• Profuse, Exposed Bloom & Fruiting: The heavy, continuous flowering held right at and just above the foliage canopy fits 'Golden Dessert''s productive day-neutral blooming style.

• Leaf Color & Form: Medium-green, sharply serrated trifoliate leaves with relatively upright petioles that support the weight of heavy, multi-crown clusters.

• Fruit Traits: 'Golden Dessert' fruit carries that signature mild, sweet flavor profile with low acidity.
