'Golden Dessert' is a yellow fruiting cultivar that we originally purchased from Estonia a number of years ago. We grew it long enough to know that we wanted to add it to our collection. Limited quantities available.

Plant Growth Habits

• Mounded, Non-Runnering Habit: The plants form dense, upright clumps without sending out runners, typical of true alpine cultivars (Fragaria vesca f. alba).
  
• Profuse, Exposed Bloom & Fruiting: The heavy, continuous flowering held right at and just above the foliage canopy fits 'Golden Dessert''s productive day-neutral blooming style.
  
• Leaf Color & Form: Medium-green, sharply serrated trifoliate leaves with relatively upright petioles that support the weight of heavy, multi-crown clusters.
  
• Fruit Traits: 'Golden Dessert' fruit carries that signature mild, sweet flavor profile with low acidity.

Grown here in Delaware in 2026. We are processing the seed now and will add to inventory when the seed is preconditioned by freezing for 4 weeks and germination is tested.
