Fragaria vesca 'Yellow Wonder' is a very productive variety. It is a clumping type (few to no runners) that is day neutral which means that flowering is not dependent on day length.

Our direction has shifted away from supplying large quantities of seed for growers to smaller quantities for home indoor gardening. Yellow Wonder is a perfect fit for this since it is a compact grower and its yellow fruit has tremendous ornamental value.

The fruit is a pale yellow at full ripe and soft. We think it is sweeter than the red varieties. There is a strong wild aroma as well and a distinctive flavor of pineapple. We prefer white or yellow fruiting varieties over red fruiting varieties due to taste and because the birds tend to ignore the white or yellow fruit.
