Alpine Strawberry 'Waldsteinchen' (Mini Red) 15+ Seeds
Fragaria vesca ‘Waldsteinchen’ (aka 'Mini Red') is an heirloom German cultivar that was selected in 2008 by Manfred Hans. It originated in Bohemia and is a small-fruited ever-bearing form similar to the old Gaillon. Gaillon WAS one of the first if not the first alpine cultivars selected in the 1800's. The plant is compact and is a clumping type. Great choice for growing indoors. Here's what is being said about it from the European supplier says:
Super early alpine strawberry variety. Plant grows very compact, dense up to 20cm (8in.) tall. Deep red, conical sweet strawberries, weight 2.5-5g (0.1oz.) with a creamy white, sweet, aromatic flesh. Begins blooming in May and fruits continuously until frost.
15+ seeds per packet.
