'Déesse des Vallées' in French means "Goddess of the Valleys". It is the same as the Italian Dea delle Valli. This is an improved 'Reine des Vallees'. 50+ seeds per packet. Seed produced in Delaware U.S.A.
The fruit of Deesse is said to be more "rustic" than Reine. We're not 100% sure what that means but suspect it means that the fruit is not as smooth in appearance as Reine des Vallees. Fruit size of Déesse tends to be a little larger than Reine which might account for it being more productive than Reine. Fruit color of Deesse tends to be darker red than Reine. We have not tested productivity side by side but plan to do that in the future.
